Onboarding just ahead of the curve

You want to be ahead of the curve in onboarding – but not too far ahead of the curve.

It's a Goldilocks sort of thing. 

  • If you're behind everyone else, you're not in control.  Too cold.
  • If you're too far ahead of everyone else, you're not leading.  You're out for a walk on your own.  Too hot.
  • If you're slightly ahead of the pack, you can set the agenda in a way that's easy to follow.  Just right.
