Parts of the USA are snowed in today.  Some people are not going to make it to places they had planned to be.  As they say, "You can't fight mother nature."

But sometimes you can anticipate what she's going to do.

While everything communicates, in your early days in a role everything you say and do and don't say and don't do is viewed under a magnifying glass.  Not showing up for something communicates that you do not think it is as important as something else.

In most cases, you know when you might get snowed in.  In those cases, you can choose where and with whom you're going to get snowed in.  Use the snow to help you communicate what's important, not as an excuse.

Snowed in by choice

I'm snowed in today.  Not going to be able to make the long trek to PrimeGenesis World HQ.  Brought my computer home.  Got my cell phone. Going to spend the day thinking and writing by the fire in the kitchen with my wife, son, and dogs at home.  Seems like a good choice.
